Local software with a global reach

Federal Member for Forde, Bert van Manen, last week visited the office of AKIPS, Australia’s leading provider of Network Monitoring Software, to learn about the global success of the AKIPS software.

AKIPS’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Birkinshaw, said it was great to be able to have the local MP visit and meet the team to highlight how AKIPS is generating employment opportunities by developing software locally.

The network monitoring industry is booming with the increased need for businesses to run remotely. AKIPS is leading the way with its software, now used by some of the most recognised corporations throughout Australia, and across America and Europe.

“Many people don’t know how important network monitoring is and the risks it reduces for a business,” Mr Birkinshaw said.

“AKIPS monitors the performance of up to a million interfaces and provides alerts on critical IT issues before they occur, which notably allows you to always keep your business operating and minimise downtime to allow customers to transact.

“It is terrific to have Bert here to help spread the word about AKIPS within our local electorate. We are keen to support and assist Australian businesses that need their IT networks monitored, particularly those local to the Logan and greater Brisbane area.”

Bert van Manen said he was a big supporter of small business, and his goal was to connect Australian corporations like AKIPS with other local businesses.

“The best thing we can do for Australian business is to promote them and purchase their products – we need to have local businesses help each other out.

“Congratulations on what you (AKIPS) are doing, it's fantastic to have this software produced locally in my electorate, and I support your Australian export success,” he said.

AKIPS are now searching for developers to add to our growing team.
